Wild Rice Retreat is in a tranquil forest setting on the shore of Lake Superior within walking distance of downtown Bayfield, Wisconsin. The Nest, Rice Pods, and Treehauses - Oh My!
Built in 2021, Wild Rice Retreat’s accommodations are modern Scandinavian style and offer a variety of spaces to suit your needs. All accommodations feature Parachute Egyptian cotton bed linens, towels, and robes, artisan teas and Wonderstate coffee, Public Goods toiletries, and fiber WiFi.

Each two story Treehaus contains four private Queen bedrooms, each with an en-suite, European style bathroom, and a chic, community living space including a kitchen and generous seating.

One Rice Pod has a Queen bed and one has two twin beds. Each has large windows with forest views, living space and a kitchenette.

The Nest is the most luxurious of accommodations with a spacious bedroom with a sliding barn door and King size bed, a living room with full pullout sofa bed, a kitchen and eating area, European style bathroom, and front porch.

Root, Wild Rice Retreat’s Restaurant, offers three nourishing meals every day: a light breakfast, brunch, and dinner featuring whole foods including fresh protein sources, fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts, and seeds.

What Is The Sanctuary?
The Sanctuary at Wild Rice Retreat is a peak roofed building housing a spacious, cedar sauna, a changing room/rest room, and a Rain Shower Room. The Sanctuary is open for your pleasure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In the evening, gather around a fire pit bonfire.
